As for doing the labs as you come upon them, I think this would be ideal if you're working on your own but if you can't do them that way then as I said, one day a week worked fine. This worked really well and my ds knows the material. Thursday: finish up practice problems and do extra practice problems Tuesday - Wednesday: finish reading module and do OYO questions, review and practice problems Tuesday - Friday: read and do OYO questions I think the 2 week pace is best and it allows you to process the information and do all the "On Your Own", review and practice problems and extra practice problems (found in back of book). Right now, my ds is accelerating the pace in order to be done next week so he is reading through a module a week. We began the year doing 2 weeks per module and meeting with another family to do labs one day a week. My ds is just finishing up Apologia Chemistry.
